Come and have the unforgettable wildlife, nature and cultural experience in the 9 days best of Uganda safaris. This safari takes you through numerous national parks in Uganda. Such as Kibale National Park. This park is located in the western Uganda protecting moist evergreen rainforest.
It is 766 square kilometers in size and ranges between 1100m and 1600m . Despite encompassing mostly evergreen forest, the park forms a continuous forest with queen Elizabeth national park. This adjoining of the parks creates a 180 kilometers wildlife corridor.
It is an important ecotourism and safari destination, well known for its population of habituated chimpanzees and twelve other species of primates.
There are 13 species of primates in Kibale national park. The park protects several habituated communities of chimpanzees and different species of central African monkey including the Ugandan mangabey and Ugandan red colobus monkey.
Other primates that are found in the park include the black-and-white colobus and the blue monkey. The parks population of elephants travels between the park and queen Elizabeth national park. The terrestrial mammals that are found within Kibale national park include red and blue duikers, bushbucks, sitatungas, bush pigs, giant forest hogs, common warthogs and African buffalo. The carnivores that are present include leopards, African golden cats, servals different mongooses and two species of otter. Lions are also known to occasionally visit the park.

Details of the 9 days best of Uganda safaris
Day 1: Arrival
Upon arrival at the Entebbe International Airport. Your driver-guide will be there to pick you up for a transfer to a hotel where you will rest for an overnight.
Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
At your hotel, your driver-guide will pick you up for a transfer drive to Kibale Forest National Park. You will have lunch en route and arrive at a booked hotel for check-in and dinner by evening.
Day 3: Chimpanzee trekking in the morning and evening visit to Bigodi wetland
You will have a morning chimpanzee trekking experience in search of one of man’s closest relatives.
Trek through the forest for several hours searching for the chimpanzees as they go about their life in their natural habitat.
Enjoy seeing the chimps and listening to them before trekking back to the park headquarters.
Return to the hotel for lunch and refresh before going for a nature walk in the Bigodi wetland. Later on, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
From Kibale Forest National Park, you will have breakfast then board your safari vehicle for a drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Have a city tour and lunch in Fort Portal before continuing to the park.
Arriving in the park, have an evening game drive through the park in search of wildlife. Later transfer to hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Morning game drive and evening boat cruise
Go for an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park savannah plains. Have an opportunity to see several wildlife species including serval cats, lions, elephants, Kobs, antelopes, and many more.
After about 4 hours of searching through the several trails, you will then head back to the hotel for lunch before going for an evening boat cruise.
The boat cruise on the Kazinga channel is famous to be very rewarding with wildlife sightings. Later on, have a short sunset game drive en route to the hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 6 : Morning game drive and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Visit the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park for a game drive in search of the tree-climbing lions and more wildlife.
Spend about 4 hours on the game drive then go for lunch at a hotel before an afternoon transfer drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Arrive in time for check-in hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Mountain Gorilla Trekking
After early morning breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing from the park guides. Thereafter head to the jungle for gorilla trekking that starts from 8:00 am.
Head to the forest for a trek that lasts about 2 to 4 hours or more depending on where the mountain gorillas have spent their night.
After meeting with the gorillas, you spend a maximum of 1 hour in the presence of the gorillas. After an encounter with the giant gorillas, you trek back to the start point.
Remember to carry some drinking water and snacks or foods to keep you energized. Receive a congratulatory certificate at the park headquarters and then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.
Day 8: Relax at Lake Bunyonyi
Wake up at leisure and spend the day at Lake Bunyonyi. The lake is croc and bilharzia free therefore you can swim and have great shots at the lake.
Choose activities as you desire during your stay and relax at this very beautiful lake. Have meals and relax at a hotel close to the lake.
Day 9: Departure
On the last day of the trip, have breakfast then be driven back to Kampala with lunch en route. Drop off at hotel/place of residence or airport.
