Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park
Kidepo Valley National Park, often described as one of Africa’s best-kept secrets, is a remote and stunningly beautiful park located in the northeastern corner of Uganda.
Covering about 1,442 square kilometres, it boasts diverse landscapes, from the rugged mountains and vast savannahs to the lush valleys and wetlands.
The park is home to a rich variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and several species of antelope, some of which are not found anywhere else in Uganda.
One of the most amazing aspects of Kidepo is its breathtaking scenery, particularly the Narus Valley and the Kidepo Valley. These areas offer incredible opportunities for wildlife viewing against the backdrop of dramatic landscapes. The park’s remoteness means that it is less crowded than other parks, providing a truly wild experience.
Upon arrival in Uganda, you will transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park. The journey itself is an adventure, offering scenic views of the Ugandan countryside and the chance to see local villages and farmlands.

Day 2: Game Drive and Community Visit
Start your day with an early morning game drive at 6:00am in Kidepo Valley National Park. The Narus Valley is teeming with wildlife, and the early hours are the best time to spot lions, cheetahs, and large herds of buffalo. Enjoy the breathtaking views as the sun rises over the savannah, casting a golden glow on the landscape. Don’t forget your camera to capture these incredible moments.
After lunch at the hotel, head to a local Karamojong village for an immersive cultural experience. Engage with the community, learn about their traditional way of life, and participate in activities such as cattle herding, traditional dance, and crafts making. This visit not only provides a unique insight into the Karamojong culture but also supports the local community through responsible tourism.

Day 3: Pien Upe Game Drive and Transfer to Mbale
Wake up at 5:00 am, you will have a packed breakfast as you set off for a morning game drive in Pien Upe. During your morning game drive at Pien Upe Wildlife Reserve, you’ll see cheetahs, elands, Rothschild giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, waterbucks, and ostriches, along with various bird species like the Abyssinian Ground Hornbill and Carmine Bee-eater, against the backdrop of rolling savannas, rock outcrops, and lush riverine vegetation. Transfer to Mbale, a vibrant town at the foothills of Mount Elgon. Check into Elgon Palace Hotel and relax.

Day 4: Community Visit and Sipi Falls
After break fast, you’ll visit the Sipi Falls region, home to the Sabiny (Sebei) community. The Sabiny people are known for their rich cultural practices and traditions.
During your visit, you’ll get to experience their way of life, which includes, traditional Dances and Songs, Learn about their coffee farming practices. The Sipi region is famous for its high-quality Arabica coffee, and you’ll have the chance to see the entire process from bean to cup.
Observe and participate in the making of traditional crafts such as baskets, mats, and pottery. Witness the beautiful traditional attire of the Sabiny people, often adorned during special occasions and cultural events.
