Day 1: Pick up from the hotel/airport Kigali and drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park

Upon your arrival at Kigali international airport, you will be welcomed by our professional tour guide who will take you for a city excursion in and around Kigali. This is to enable you orient and fully immerse yourself with this great country of a thousand hills. After this excursion, you will proceed to Nyungwe Forest National Park. Nyungwe is rich in biodiversity that contributes to the beautiful scenery. The mountainous region is filled with wildlife including a small population of chimpanzees as well as 12 other species of primate, including the L’Hoest’s monkey endemic to the Albertine rift.

Day 2 : Chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe National Park

Start your adventure with a tasty breakfast at the lodge. Morning drive to the Nyungwe National Park headquarters to begin your trek into the indigenous forest in search for the amazing chimpanzees. This trek gives you the opportunity to fully immerse yourself into the strange but intimate part of the rainforest where you will hear live calls of colorful birds, chattering of the monkeys.

Spend one hour when you meet the chimpanzees, take photography’s and observe as they live their life. Return and proceed to the lodge.

Day 3 :Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

After breakfast, drive to Volcanoes National Park passing through the beautiful landscapes viewing the beautiful scenery. Enroute lunch and later proceed to Volcanoes National Park.

Check in and if time allows  have a cultural experience by the iby’lwachu village. Have an opportunity of participating in the cultural dances with the indigenous people of Rwanda.

Day 4 : Gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Early morning benefit from a tasty breakfast at the lodge. Drive to the park headquarter for briefing. Meet others  tourists as you carefully listen to the briefing. Depart for the gorilla trekking experience alongside the ranger guides. Once you find them, spend one hour with them taking pictures. Return to the starting point and embark on your vehicle and drive to the lodge for overnight.

Day 5 : Second gorilla trekking

After breakfast, you will depart to the park headquarters for briefing and later depart for your second gorilla trekking for a different gorilla family. You will be escorted by ranger guides through the forest.

Once you find gorillas you will spend one hour  with them taking pictures. Every tracking offers a very different experience, enjoy the tracking. Return to starting point and embark on your vehicle and drive to the lodge for overnight.

Day 6 : Departure
