Day1: Akagera National Park and afternoon boat cruise

On arrival at the airport, our experienced driver guide welcomes you, briefs you about the whole trip and then transfers you to Akagera national park. On arrival to the park, proceed to your lodge where you will have lunch as you prepare for the afternoon boat cruise.

Boat Cruise on Lake Ihema starting 2:00pm. Enjoy the serene waters and spot hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species.

Day2: Morning game drive and return to Kigali

Wake up very early in the morning, have breakfast then be ready by 6:30am for the morning game drive. Explore the park and look out for animals like elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, and various antelopes.

After lunch at the lodge, you will return to Kigali and have a city drive as you check into a hotel in the evening. Relax and have fun as you wait for tomorrow’s activity.

Day3: Volcanoes National Park and return back to Kigali

Very early morning transfer to volcanoes national park so as to catch up with the with the tracking time.After the guides take you through the rules of gorilla tracking, you will then go to the forest in search of the mountain gorillas.

When you meet the gorilla family, you then spend a maximum of 1 hour seeing the gorillas interact among themselves and enjoy the bamboo forest experience, you then trek back to the start point where you meet your driver-guide for a transfer drive back to Kigali. Return to Kigali Late in the evening.
