3 Days Gorilla And Lake Bunyonyi Experience

Get ready to enjoy your 3 days gorilla and Lake Bunyonyi experience in Uganda. A mind blowing activity that will keep you relaxed. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is located in southwestern Uganda. The park is part of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, and is situated along the Democratic Republic of Congo border next to the Virunga National Park and on the edge of the western Great Rift Valley. It covers an area of 327 km².

This 3days experience starts in Entebbe, visitors taken to Bwindi national forest national park, then to lake bunyonyi, and finally to kampala before traveling back to Entebbe. This trip provides visitors with an opportunity to see a variety of wildlife, most significantly the mountain gorillas. This tour also provides visitors with incredible views and memorable scenery of lake Bunyonyi.

DAY 1: Arrival and transfer to Bwindi Buhoma sector

Meet the driver guide on arrival. Transfer to the south western part of the country. A stopover at the equator for landmarking photos then drive through Mbarara road. Break for lunch on the way then proceed to Bwindi impenetrable national park, the home of mountain gorillas .

It is estimated to half of the worlds surviving population of mountain gorillas shared by Uganda , Rwanda and congo. The drive is long but enjoyable. Proceed to buhoma while viewing the terraced hills of kigezi highland once known as Switzerland of Africa. Then arrive at the ride for a woman lodge for dinner and overnight.

DAY 2: Gorilla tracking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast with packaged lunch , you will be escorted to the starting point for briefing by the ranger staff and your guide. The time taken and the terrain vary 1-8 hours this depends on the movement of these gentle giants. Do not forget to carry raincoats and the other items to protect your camera equipment. After tracking , then we shall return to lodge and check out. Drive to lake bunyonyi for a relaxed evening with a spectacular view of the magnificent lake bunyonyi.

DAY 3: Morning boat cruise and departure

Enjoy a relaxed day at lake bunyonyi one of the beautiful lakes in Africa known for small birds and hundreds of spectacular islands. Enjoy a morning boat trip on the lake to visit the historical islands in the lake. Drive from lake bunyonyi through the farmland on to Mbarara and the equator back to Entebbe. The evening can be well spend on visiting the craft market in Entebbe before the flight.
